Y Ffowndri is a community that exists for the benefit of others with the specific goal of relieving poverty and hardship in the local community. Members of Y Ffowndri commit to a minimum number of hours’ service volunteering in local charities or churches involved in helping those experiencing poverty and hardship.
Y Ffowndri also has the long-term goal of developing one or more social enterprises to directly help those experiencing poverty and hardship in the local area, and over time to expanding this work elsewhere in the Welsh Valleys.
